ABOUT RESURFACED ART

Resurfaced Art began with a simple idea—to give something once loved a second life, and in doing so, create something entirely new.
I work with reclaimed surfboards, each one carrying its own history of time spent in the ocean. What was once shaped for waves becomes the foundation for hand-cut stained glass mosaics, carefully designed to capture the color, movement, and feeling of the coast.
My process is slow and intentional. Every piece of glass is individually cut, placed, and set by hand. I’m especially drawn to materials that interact with light, including dichroic glass, which shifts and shimmers depending on the angle of the sun. It allows each piece to feel alive, changing subtly throughout the day.
Living and creating in Southern California, I’m endlessly inspired by the natural beauty of the ocean—its colors, its energy, and its sense of calm. That influence finds its way into every board, whether through tropical botanicals, flowing water, or hints of coastal wildlife and mythology.
No two pieces are ever the same, each one inspired by the beauty and rhythm of the ocean.
